The present document consists in the minutes of the Ljubljana meeting of July 7th 2009, held for the final assessment of the project called Health and Safety for Firefighters of the Mediterranean Area. The debate focussed on the findings of the survey carried out by the expert of the project; on the guidelines produced by the Steering Committee for the benefit of firefighters' union delegates; on the topics to be identified and investigated as a follow-up to the project; as well as on the inevitable relations to establish with both the EPSU and the EU.

Guide vademecum
In the wake of the "Health and Safety for Firefighters of the Mediterranean Area" project, approved by the European Commission for Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities on 22 August 2008, the present Vademecum was drawn up for firefighters and their trade union representatives by the project's Steering Committee.
